A clean, dry, breathable storage setup is the difference between a rug that survives and one that’s ruined by moths or mildew.

• Clean and fully dry the rug before storing since dirt and moisture attract pests.
• Roll the rug (don’t fold it) with the pile facing inward.
• Wrap it in cotton sheeting or breathable rug-storage fabric, never wrap in plastic.
• Add cedar blocks or natural moth deterrents; avoid mothballs in living areas.
• Store flat and elevated, in a cool, dry, dark place. Inspect every few months.
