If the care label allows it, small synthetic rugs are the easiest to clean and you may take them outside.

• Check the care label for machine-wash, hand-wash or dry-clean instructions.
• Vacuum both sides thoroughly first to remove loose dirt.
• For machine-washable rugs: cold water, gentle cycle, mild detergent. Air-dry flat.
• Otherwise, hose it down outside, scrub with mild detergent, rinse fully and dry flat.
• Make sure the rug is fully dry before putting it back to prevent mildew.
